I am very excited to share Janelle & Derek’s beautiful rustic fall wedding at the gorgeous Pheasant Valley Barn in Brooklyn, Wisconsin.
Over the course of a year, getting to know Janelle and Derek I could tell that they were a “Birchwood couple.”
Janelle and I spent hours talking on the phone about wedding stuff, life stuff, and everything in between.
Both Janelle and Derek are the down to earth, absolutely fun to be around, and have an infectious kindness.
Being around them with their friends and family you can see the love that everyone surrounded them with.

Yes, this would be Janelle painting one of her bridesmaids nails before her wedding. I too thought it was hilarious!

I just love when a bridal party can play and have fun. Nothing too serious going on around here! It makes me love my job even more and truly enjoy what I do!

The entire day I kept telling them, “don’t look at me, just pretend I’m not here.” This is how they come around the corner… We all died laughing. It’s one of those memorable moments I will never forget shooting their wedding. Their personality truly shined through these images!

And we ended with that classic “birchwood shot” of the guys with their cigars. I love love how these turned out!
